Tax officer in court

An assistant taxation officer will face 35 charges at Eastern Court today of helping individuals and firms falsify tax-return dates. Wong Fuk-keung, 50, was arrested by the Independent Commission Against Corruption in September last year after he allegedly used Inland Revenue Department chops to change the dates of returns to make them appear they arrived on time.
