Kathmandu, the 'modern Nepalese' restaurant on Old Bailey Street, has just started serving a 'low-calorie' lunch buffet. Chef Deep Bahadur Shrestha will prepare dishes that include tandoori fillet of lamb, chicken Kathmandu and dal raj pariwar (mixed lentil curry). The buffet is available for lunch only from Monday to Friday. The $68-deal includes tea or coffee. There is also a selection of wines for $25 per glass. Kathmandu is at 11 Old Bailey Street, Central. Michel Littiere has worked at pastry kitchens in Beirut, Istanbul, Jakarta, Dubai, the British Virgin Islands, England and France. He is using this diverse experience to expand the dessert selection at the Royal Garden's food and beverage outlets. Middle Eastern cakes and French desserts are available in The Greenery coffee shop, while at Sabatini Italian restaurant, the a la carte dessert menu now includes pineapple fantasy with dark chocolate sherbet, chocolate mousse triangle with sour cherry compote and bourbon saffron creme brulee with blood orange sherbet.
