A 27-year-old man fell to his death while trying to escape a fire that broke out in his Shamshuipo flat yesterday.

Dozens of residents fled from the 12-storey building in Tai Po Road when the blaze broke out in Lam Ka-fai's sixth-floor flat at 2am. Lam was found on the second-floor canopy.
