I am concerned about the large number of prostitutes I have seen around Chungking Mansions, in Tsim Sha Tsui. I have seen them in front of the building and in nearby alleys, openly soliciting for business. Until about a year ago, there used to be about eight to 10 prostitutes. However, now the number has grown to around 30. They are there from approximately 10am till midnight. It is upsetting for law-abiding residents of this area and their families. Some of us even avoid Chungking Mansions, because of their presence, making detours to get home. I would like to know what the police are doing about this problem. C. R. JACKIE Tsim Sha Tsui
