CREATING a piece of artwork is like giving birth to a baby, the winner of the Best Graphic Design Award of the Caritas Bianchi College of Careers' 20th annual design exhibition said.
Angela Cheng On-ki, together with the winner of the Best Interior Design Award, Louie Chan Lui, and the winner of the Best Fashion Design Award, Alice Yin Pat-ngan, received their prizes from the guest-of-honour, Legislative Councillor Emily Lau, at the opening ceremony of the exhibition recently.
The exhibition also featured the work of 20 other design graduates.
In addition to graphic designs, artwork from students in the college's new interior design and fashion design courses was also on display.
Angela's graphic designs included editorial work, sequence images, posters, stationery, logos, direct mail, table-tops, magazine covers and photos.
Her photography work on display depicted the burial ground of a dead person and a blooming flower which represented the person's spirit.
''My classmates gave me a lot of help, especially in the dark room,'' she told Young Post .
