Being an only-child isn't always so great

Sometimes being an only-child may seem like an easy life to those looking in from the outside.

An only-child's friends may think such a child is spoiled, and they'll be jealous of what they believe is an easy life. Envious friends may think an only-child is pampered, and likely to be unpleasant, but this isn't always the case.

My friend Max is an only-child, and his friends know him to be friendly and polite. Many teenagers want to be the only child, but plenty of only-children want to have brothers and sisters.

Would it be good to have no brothers or sisters? Do you really think it's all that enjoyable?

Many people have the wrong concept about being an only child. They believe the parents spoil the children, and that they always get anything they want. That is one of the major reasons why many young people say they want to be the only child in the family.

In fact, parents of one child always try to make them understand they are not the only one in the world. Only-children are always friendly and talkative in front of their friends.
