Spanish artist Marques de Jadraque, who was commissioned to paint Pope John Paul II in 1982, was so impressed with Hong Kong's sights and sounds during a recent visit that he decided to do a series of paintings and sculptures inspired by our city (left). De Jadraque's strokes are influenced by 20th-century greats such as Dali, Picasso and Miro, but you will also see Chinese influences, especially in his works on traditional rice-paper scrolls. The artist describes his impressions of Hong Kong as 'windows after windows', and 'lots of people in line'. The show also features acrylic works on canvas. De Jadraque has shown extensively in North America and Europe.

Until November 14. 10 Chancery Lane Gallery, 10 Chancery Lane, Central. Tel: 2810 0065. Monday to Friday, 10am to 7pm. Saturday, 12pm to 6pm.
