The Chong Gene Hong College team are determined to re-claim the overall champions title in next month's Inter-School Cross-Country Championship after losing it to rivals in the past two years. The boys' college have won the title 10 times, but were runners-up in 1999 and 2000. Team captain Ng Tsz-wai, 18, said: ' We didn't have a full team and we were down on our luck.' Because there were several freshmen in the team this year, coach Lai Chi-leung said he would arrange open competitions to provide them with experience. Lai said: 'We are confident of winning back the title, but we are still adjusting to the team's general performance.' In addition to regular training sessions every Monday, Wednesday and Friday after school, some members also undertake extra training on their own. Team member Wong Ho-cheong, 15, said his targets are to finish fourth in the Division One Boys' Grade B, and in the top 10 of the Jing Ying Competition later this year.
