Club A continued their rip-roaring start to the campaign, trouncing Elite 5-0 to maintain their 100 per cent record in the Hong Kong First Division yesterday.
Since the start of the season, the Sports Road side have won all their matches with ease and against Elite at home, they were head and shoulders above their opposition again.
Club are well poised to win their first league title in years as skipper Derek Field, Chris Marshall, Thur Borren, Nick Sleijfers and Eric Morris got on the score sheet with a goal each to record the side's fourth straight victory.
Club started the campaign by hammering Pakistan Association 9-0 and since then they have made an indelible mark on the league with commanding victories over SSSC (formerly Bullets, 8-2) and Kowloon Cricket Club A (6-1).
'That's about the worst result for us so far,' quipped Field of the side's latest lop-sided win. 'We have been having it a bit easy so far. But it wasn't so easy today because Elite had 10 men behind the ball and played defensively. We only scored our last three goals during the last 10 minutes of the game after leading 2-0 at half-time.
'We are looking good at the moment and all the other teams have dropped points.'
