Moving experiences at Lan Kwai Fong
MUCH movement it appears on The Street That Re-Discovered Itself (aka Lan Kwai Fong.) We hear that Nicole Garnaut, boss lady of the 97 Group who is currently making merry in Russia with the White Knights, is spreading her wings by opening a restaurant at the Aik San Industrial Centre in Quarry Bay.
The new eatery it seems will not bear the 97 moniker, but, says our source, ''be a new concept that Nicole is trying''.
Plans for the latest venture of the 97 Group were first suggested two months ago. But the building the company had earmarked changed hands forcing them to pull out.
Just up the street from Club 97, the Laird of LKF, Calvin Craig, will, we are told, soon be serving his last pint at Scotties.
Calvin and his partners have decided to close the bar because of falling business. And the nearby Cactus bar and restaurant is expected to move into the premises.
