The list of special plenary keynote speakers at the World Productivity Congress includes former President of the United States, George H. W. Bush, Supachai Panitchpakdi, Director-General designate of the WTO and former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand; and Fidel Ramos, former President of the Philippines. Other keynote speakers will include Victor Fung Kwok-king, chairman and chief executive officer of the Airport Authority; Kwong Ki-chi, chief executive, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing; Ronnie Chan Chi-chung, trustee and member of the advisory council and executive committee, Better Hong Kong Foundation. Representatives from local universities are also scheduled to address the WPC. Speakers from the mainland will include Xu Guanhua, Minister of Science and Technology, the administrator of the State Environmental Protection Agency; the mayor of Shenzhen, Yu Youjun; the mayor of Weihai, Cui Yuechen, and Professor Shen Shituan, president of the Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Distinguished speakers from overseas will include Laury Minard, editor of Forbes Global; Takuya Okada, honorary chairman and advisor, Jusco Company, Japan; Peter Watkins, executive vice-president, McGraw Hill; and David Poirer, executive vice-president, Hudson's Bay Company.
