Is history taught in Hong Kong schools?
I was just wondering, because I happened to be in Lan Kwai Fong on Hallowe'en. I was there for a drink with a friend, nothing to do with Hallowe'en.
I have no problem with celebrating Hallow'een. However, what I saw on that night was not in the spirit of the night. There was a girl dressed in the style of a Nazi stormtrooper, complete with swastika band on her arm and boots, as well as the uniform.
We should learn about what occurred in the past, but to celebrate the heinous crimes of the Nazis is unacceptable. I can only conclude that this person had no idea whatsoever about the atrocities that people in the uniform she wore committed.
This can only be a condemnation of what she has been taught in her school.
