NEW FACES OF CUBISM: The art of Pablo Picasso can be seen through fresh, Hong Kong eyes - of the more than six thousand budding artists involved in this year's Youth Arts Festival multi-media showcase.

Pupils from 34 primary schools created the 20,000 tiles of the giant mosaics, while a core of more than 20 secondary schools added the central installations celebrating Picasso's styles - from Classicist to Cubist - and the ensemble is on display at the Hong Kong Arts Centre. Gallery workshops have also let pupils (such as the budding artists pictured from Hung Hom Lutheran Primary) get to grips with 3-D Cubist portraits.

The Jockey Club Picasso Exhibition, Pao Galleries, Hong Kong Arts Centre, runs 10am to 8pm everday until Wednesday, when it closes at 1pm. Workshops are open to the public tomorrow.
