A patient who had his teeth fixed twice by a dentist before robbing him at knifepoint has been jailed for six years and eight months.
Mok Hoi-to, 21, tied up and blindfolded the dentist, his assistant and the dentist's girlfriend with nylon string and gagged them with adhesive tape, the Court of First Instance heard yesterday.
The court heard that on December 27 last year, the defendant went to Lam Pok Lai Dental Clinic in Fu Tung Estate Shopping Centre in Tung Chung, Lantau Island, and asked for his personal particulars to be recorded on a registration card.
After having one of his teeth filled by Dr Ho Chun-sing, Mok then made another appointment for root canal treatment at the surgery the next day.
Mok attended the clinic and had the treatment.
But while he was waiting for some medicine he took out a knife and pointed it at the dentist.
