Hong Kong's greatest movie icon, Bruce Lee, is set to return to the silver screen three decades after his death - thanks to digital animation technology.
Korean film-maker ShinCine Films plans to bring the kung fu star back to life in a $390-million production entitled Dragon Warrior.
The script is still being written, but it is hoped the movie will be launched within three years.
American trade magazine Variety reported that the script, which is in its third draft by Korean and Japanese writers, would be translated for an English-language production.
ShinCine will use innovative digital technology to recreate Bruce Lee. It will enable Lee to interact with live-action actors. Lee's voice will be modelled by computer.
The movie-maker claims it has secured the rights to Lee's likeness from the Bruce Lee Estates, which is controlled by Lee's widow, Linda Lee Cadwell.
Lee's daughter, Shannon Lee, told Variety the family believed ShinCine's enthusiasm and commitment would make the movie a success.
