Beauty is the Kee ingredient
EACH YEAR HERMES adopts a theme and this year it is 'Looking For The Beauty Of The Earth'. The company sent out disposable cameras in its distinctive orange livery to VIPs and asked them to snap whatever they thought would fit the bill. The photos were showcased at a party at the newly opened Kee Club above Yung Kee Restaurant on Wellington Street. 'Kee' players behind the haunt - styled on London's exclusive Groucho Club - are Christian and Maria Rhomberg, the king and queen of the 97 Group, Ronald Kam of the Yung Kee family, architect David Mok, Darren Shaw from Sir Run Run's clan and Ronnie and Gerald Chan of the Hang Lung Group.
It was a diverse crowd: restaurateur Wilson Kwok, G.O.D design-guru Douglas Young, fashion designer Flora Cheong-Leen, toy-king Wesley Wan and his wife Doreen sipped their champagne and sampled the delicate hors d'oeuvres. For many it was their first time at the Kee and guests wandered through the salons marvelling at the decor - and the membership fee of $50,000.
