FOURTEEN people were arrested and more than $500,000 worth of betting chips seized in an anti-gambling operation in Sham Shui Po yesterday. Police raided premises in Cheung Sha Wan Road and arrested 12 men and two women suspected of playing baccarat. The suspected operator and his wife were released on bail of $10,000 and $5,000 respectively. The 12 alleged gamblers were released on bail of $800 each. They will appear in North Kowloon Magistracy on Wednesday.
