Excellence Forever displayed improvement over a mile last time and can progress further at this trip. Win It All is a multiple winner over course and distance and must be respected. Optic Chief will relish the move up in trip and can make the frame. Spartan has slightly better form at Sha Tin and could be a risk. Floral Cheers is not showing enough to warrant inclusion. Chief's Fortune moves up to a suitable trip and looks a leading chance. Flying Magic can be ruled out.

RACE TWO, RATED 40-20 (C5), 1,200M

Solo strikes an easier test and has claims. No Competitor is a multiple winner over course and distance and looks a leading chance. American Win is more effective with some give in the ground. Eye's Magic needs further. Heading To Win narrowly failed last time and has each-way claims again. Arrowmint has drawn awkwardly but could still fill a minor placing. California Tycoon will struggle form a poor alley. Gold Flask is hard to recommend. Core Principles is not showing enough to merit closer attention.

RACE THREE, RATED 52-32 (C4), 1,650M

Cullinan is a risk at the distance. Just In Time ran with merit last time and has each-way claims. Seattle Sun may need further relief in the handicap. Golden King shaped marginally better in a recent barrier trial with blinkers and improvement is expected. Millennium Legend will appreciate the step back to a mile and looks a leading chance. Country Dragon worked a fraction too hard on the pace last time and can improve. Profit Treasure should be kept safe with the blinkers applied for the first time after a better effort last time.

RACE FOUR, RATED 56-36 (C4), 1,200M

Fairway Finder won in good time last start and has claims again. Aficionado meets easier competition and is more of a threat back at Happy Valley. The Most Dauntless has a difficult task from a poor alley. Turf Luck moved only fairly in his trial and will benefit from the experience. Top Quality prefers the all-weather. Lucky King finished off strongly last time and looks a leading chance. Happy Life will find it tough from a wide barrier. Cyber Wisdom will get the run of the race and must be included. Star Of Wah Yan can be ruled out.

RACE FIVE, RATED 56-36 (C4), 1,000M

Capital Star is unlikely to attain an uncontested lead and is a risk. Back Seat Driver has a solid record over course and distance and merits consideration. Top Winner is the one to beat. April Hare showed some dash in his trial and could sneak into the frame. Horace's Horse moved only fairly in a recent trial and may need more time. Speed Win would prefer further. Inspired made the frame last time and has claims again. Bold'N Power may need further relief in the handicap. Winning Mascot is hard to recommend based on his current performances.

RACE SIX, RATED 70-50 (C3), 1,650M

Good Friends is a risk at the mile. Happy Champ has fallen a long way in the handicap and could surprise. Top Light can fill a minor placing. Bobo Duck has won his last two and has claims again from a favourable draw. Honest Dragon could prove hard to catch out on the lead. American Champion has a solid record at Happy Valley and must be respected. Hin Yuen's Unicorn may find this trip stretching his stamina capabilities. The Greatest won well last time and has each-way claims again. Wish Come True can be ruled out.

RACE SEVEN, RATED 88-68 (C2), 1,000M

Derek Cruz's handy sprinter My Honour can take the honours in the St Andrew's Challenge Quaich. See Front Page.

RACE EIGHT, RATED 70-50 (C3), 1,650M

Happy Forever will find it hard under top weight. D'Or Win should get the run of the race and has each-way claims. Lucky Superstar will relish the move up to a mile and looks a leading chance. Super Force may have found his limit in the handicap. Dancing Sound is drawn well and should figure in the finish. French Connection narrowly failed last time and has solid claims. Golden Spirit has a tough assignment from a poor gate. Me And You is a Valley specialist and must be given respect. Tabbris did not show much on his debut and can be ruled out.
