All three legs of the Triple Trio at Sha Tin tomorrow look decidedly tricky, but one banker that can be relied upon is Tony Millard's Scenic Star in the middle leg. The son of Mr Henrysee narrowly failed to land the spoils on his last start when he was outbattled by the progressive Lion Rock, but he appears to have struck an easier contest here and should have no trouble in making the frame. He is well drawn and should enjoy a good run through the 1,400-metre race.
John Size's Authorised is an interesting runner, as both of his efforts this term have been creditable and he should appreciate the move up in trip and back to Sha Tin. He is another strong chance to make the frame.
A similar argument could be made for Sugar And Spice, who caught the eye on his seasonal reappearance but failed to confirm that promise at Happy Valley last time. He is well drawn and can improve with the move back to Sha Tin.
Good Message appeared to have no excuses last time, but his general record over course and distance is good enough to suggest he can fill a minor placing, while Power Of Success is well weighted and could figure in the finish.
Ricky Yiu Poon-fie's Lightmaster appeals in the opening leg over 1,400 metres. He has fallen appreciably in the handicap from just a handful of starts and indicated last time that he is a threat in this grade when finishing a head second to Money Star. He has struck a similar contest and based on his last run should take all the beating.
Star Dragon may have found 1,000 metres on the short side last time and the move up to 1,400 metres should bring an improved effort. His work has been solid and, with the Lawrie Fownes string starting to hit form, he should be included.
