POWER boats manufacturer Wellcraft Marine has revamp its organisational structure by consolidating its key product lines under four divisional presidents.
The new structure was formally announced by new company president Robert Sutter at Wellcraft's annual dealer conference of 200 representatives from around the world in Florida.
''The quality of the individuals leading the respective divisions reflects Wellcraft's commitment to its customers, dealers and employees,'' Mr Sutter said.
Before taking the assignment at Wellcraft, Mr Sutter served as president of Wellcraft's parent company, Genmar Industries, a Minneapolis-based company which also makes boats under names such as Hatteras, Aquasport, Ski Supreme, Larson, Glastron, Lund, Cajun and Crestliner.
Although Mr Sutter will continue to be involved in Genmar operations, his day-to-day activities will be devoted to Wellcraft, said Genmar Industries chairman Irwin Jacobs.
Under the new structure, Wellcraft's products are separated into four broad divisions - fishing boats, high-performance craft, sport boats and cruisers, and the Excel line of powerboats.
