DASHING through Central while appointment-hopping, we ran into Fred Wahl, who - together with his wife Joyce Wu - runs an up-market dating agency; although Fred would surely prefer that we added a touch of political correctness and referred to it as socialnetworking.
Since its inception 18 months ago, Dinner For Six (as the international singles club is officially called) has held 600 such dinner gatherings, which is a whole lotta lonely hearts.
At the weekend the club was even featured in an ATV programme where popular and well proportioned TV personality Lydia ''Fei Fei'' Shum joined Fred and Joyce to enjoy Dinner For Six - in a manner of speaking, that is.
Says Fred: ''We've now decided to extend the idea of single people meeting in compatible groups of six. So we are inviting our members - and also non-members who may have bright ideas - to come up with proposals for alternative social activities, such asBadminton For Six.'' Before the stern guardians of morality start thinking about putting pen to paper we should categorically state that everything at Dinner For Six is well above board and membership is open only to responsible adults.
