La Femme Nikita
Pearl, 10.35pm
It all began when Nikita (Peta Wilson, above) was falsely accused of a hideous crime and sentenced to life in prison. In the middle of the night she was woken by a stranger and told that the world thinks she is dead: they have told everyone that she committed suicide. She has been chosen to be a member of Section One, the most covert anti-terrorist group on the planet. Their ends are just but their means are ruthless.
In this episode, Alexis French, an arms dealer whose latest creation is an anthrax-based toxin, plans to sell her newest weapon to Section One's rivals, Red Cell. Her son, David, lives in a Zurich mental institution after a psychotic breakdown. Section One gives Nikita a psychosis-inducing drug, so she can get admitted to the same hospital as David.
Once admitted, Nikita swallows a pill that Section One also gave her which counteracts the previous medication and the drugs given to her by the doctor when she was admitted. She becomes lucid and begins her mission. But the doctor discovers her secret stash of drugs and confiscates it.
Nikita encounters David and induces hallucinations in the sick man. David is frightened and feels guilty because he knows about his mother's deadly creation. Will Nikita get David to reveal the location of his mother and the toxin? Or will she be prescribed more electroshock therapy by the hospital doctor?
