Internet solutions provider Capinfo last night announced net revenue for the seven months to July this year increased 112 per cent over last year's net revenue, to 56 million yuan (about HK$52.48 million). The Growth Enterprise Market candidate, which is controlled by the Beijing municipal government through Beijing State Owned Assets Management Corp, attributed this year's net revenue growth to the provision of e-government services. Capinfo said net revenue for the first seven months represented a gross profit margin of 25 per cent. Net revenue growth for the same period was due mainly to completion of the Medical Insurance Information System's second phase design and partial completion of the Beijing Municipal Community Services Information Network System, the firm said. Gross profit in 1999 and last year was 2.4 million yuan and 12 million yuan, respectively. Beijing-based Capinfo designs, constructs and implements information technology engineering applications. The government commissioned the firm to build the 2008 Beijing Olympics Web site.
