Duo foiled by scared victim

TWO robbers escaped empty-handed after firing a shot at the wall of a house in Sheung Shui because the owner was too frightened to open the bedroom door.

The owner's 40-year-old Thai maid, Khongkhokfaek Praneet, was hit on the head with the butt of the pistol. She was taken to Fanling Hospital where she was treated and discharged.
