IT WAS A perfect time for old friends to reunite and do business. Tom McEwan finally succumbed to Laura Clarke's suggestion that he come to Hong Kong to seek new clients. A jewellery designer to the stars in London, his giant rocks dwarf even the biggest hands and fingers. At a relaxed cocktail party at the Kee Club, potential customers were drawn to display cases brimming with McEwan's designs. Health and beauty guru Frederique Deleage tried some on for fun, as Loewe's Caroline Roberts and Philippines-born socialite Ina Ayala tried to imagine gems of such size adorning their digits. After checking out the jewellery, Leini Spears of Wren Press caught up with long-time friend Andrew Glenn.
