Socialite's firm faces writ

Sogo Hong Kong Company is suing a firm trading under the name of socialite Teresa Cheung Siu-wai for an outstanding payment of $716,290, the balance of minimum commission and cleaning charges, according to a writ filed at the Court of First Instance. It says the commission and the charges were due to be paid by the defendant to the plaintiff under an agreement entered on March 21, 2000. Ms Cheung, formerly known as Teresa Bee and the ex-wife of Canto-pop singer Kenny Bee, was hit by another legal action filed last week by a money-lending company for payment of almost $255 million in outstanding loans and interest.
