'MUSIC MAKES THE people come together,' pop diva Madonna sings in her song Music. Music not only unites people from different countries and backgrounds, it makes you want to dance.

If you are fed up with sappy Canto pop, there is an exotic feast of music with top DJs from Vienna and Hong Kong lined up.

Vienna is featured in the City Festival this year. The capital has long been known as a centre that cultivates and supports the classical arts and famous composers.

But Vienna these days is also home to contemporary DJs who produce cutting-edge dance music. Young Viennese Night Scene, a programme in the City Festival, will offer audiences a glimpse of the city's funky side.

The six-hour music party will feature DJs Heinz Tronigger and Meier Landsky. The two are the brains behind the Sequence Network Festival, one of the largest dance music festivals that brings DJs from all over the world together. They are also resident DJs in the hottest nightclubs in Vienna. Landsky describes himself 'a keeper of the deep will to reach minds, bodies and feet through simply true music'.

Guest DJs from Vienna will jam with the likes of DJ Simon, a top local disc-spinner at the party. Simon has performed in clubs in Lan Kwai Fong and overseas.
