Colour-blind impressionism

IS it any wonder that widespread scepticism frequently accompanies the unveiling of architects' or artists' impressions of a proposed development? May I refer your readers to the picture on page one of the Business Post of July 9 ''illustrating'' the Nam Van Lakes project in Macau. Anyone who has been remotely near Macau will verify that the colour of water surrounding the enclave is far from the alluring blue hue depicted; more like dun brown.

I wonder if any further licence has been deployed by the artist in the pursuit of impressionism? No doubt that question will be conclusively answered in 1999 upon completion.
