Urania Chan

Partner, Richards Butler

Ms Chan specialises in property work in Hong Kong and the mainland. Other new partners include Andrew Horton, who deals with shipping and international trade litigation; and Mok Ka-chung, Janet Cheung, Warren Ko and Ivy Lai, who specialise in corporate finance and general commercial issues.

Liu Hanbo

Managing director, Cosco International Holdings

Mr Liu also becomes an executive director. He will continue to serve as vice-president of Cosco (Hong Kong) Group. Mr Liu takes over from Kwong Che-keung, who resigned last month. Mr Kwong will remain as an executive director and vice-president of Cosco (Hong Kong) Group.

Russell Low

Partner, Stephenson Harwood & Lo

Mr Low practises corporate and commercial law, focusing on listings, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate restructuring and compliance issues. He also has experience in media and telecommunications-related work.

Ivan Lo

Chief for Hong Kong, Publicis Dialog

Mr Lo also becomes an executive director to oversee the Hong Kong operations and provide advisory support in exploring opportunities in the mainland. Previously, he was executive director at Communication Plus and associate director of Citigate Dewe Rogerson. Before that, he worked in the corporate affairs department of the Mass Transit Railway Corp.

Sharon Garrett

Director of communications, Grand Stanford Inter-Continental Hong Kong

Ms Garrett is responsible for public relations, sponsorship, advertising and promotions. Previously, she was responsible for group public relations of Jumeirah International's properties in Dubai. Her background includes worldwide hotel experience, freelance writing and international sporting events.

Jeremy Xiao

Managing partner for Beijing, Herbert Smith

Mr Xiao specialises in corporate debt, equity issues and the regulatory aspects of the Hong Kong and Chinese securities markets. He was previously a partner with the law firm. Mr Xiao takes over from Terence Grady, who plans to return to Hong Kong later this year.

Peter F.T. Roberts

Senior director, Spencer Stuart & Associates (HK)

Mr Roberts has rejoined after tours in the company's Singapore and Leeds offices. He has extensive experience conducting recruitment covering logistics and other industries in Asia, Europe and the Middle East for a wide range of clients.

Rita Ho

Deputy general manager, CMG Asia Pensions and Retirement

With 15 years' experience in the insurance industry, Ms Ho will be responsible for the firm's Mandatory Provident Fund and Occupational Retirement Schemes Ordinance administration services. She will also oversee the day-to-day operations. Previously, Ms Ho was assistant general manager of AXA China Region Insurance.

Dennis T.L. Sun

Non-executive director, I-Cable Communications

Dr Sun is chairman and managing director of publicly listed China-Hongkong Photo Products Holdings. He joined that company's management team in 1976 and has 25 years' experience in the photographic products industry. He is the vice-patron of the Community Chest of Hong Kong and a trustee of the Better Hong Kong Foundation. He also is a council member of the Lingnan University and chairman of the board of governors of the Hong Kong Arts Centre.
