CHANEL TRANSPORTED 900 fashion-loving guests, including writers Eunice Lam and Pearl Lam, hairstyling guru Kim Robinson, Michele Li (sans Didier) and a host of models, on specially chartered ferries to Macau to view its spring/summer collection. Chanel ladies Bonnie Gokson (who masterminded the evening) and Claudia Shaw D'Auriol co-ordinated the extravaganza and made gorgeous models themselves - Bonnie bling-blinged with a ghetto-fabulous Chanel knuckle-duster spanning three digits. The catwalk wrapped around the base of the month-old Macau Tower, Chanel's event being the first megabash to be held at the landmark by a luxury brand. Eager people-watchers packed the stands in anticipation of the fashion parade - on the runway and off. After the show, guests filed into the dining/dance floor area for a buffet dinner and a singing treat by chanteuse Joyce Lee. While she belted out some Latin-tinged favourites, Pansy Ho, Sally and Robert Lo and singer Alex To boogie-woogied right up until the last ferry blew its final boarding call.
