Legend is also confident that China's PC market will rebound in the second half of the year after the market fully absorbs the impact of over-buying in 2000.

Pro-forma net profit rose 44.2 per cent year on year to HK$311.94 million for the three months to December 31.

Sales revenue for the quarter fell 1.6 per cent from the previous corresponding period to HK$5.18 billion.

On a nine-month basis, Legend's pro-forma net profit rose 33.9 per cent to HK$746.94 million, while turnover was up 5.8 per cent to HK$15.14 billion.
