Drug case defendant stabs himself in court

A defendant yesterday stabbed himself in the thigh with a 20cm knife in front of Kowloon City Court magistrate Ernest Lin Kam-hung after he was remanded in custody.

Ling Man-kwan, 56, who faced a drug possession charge, became aggressive after the order was made, causing head injures to one court officer. Ling was later admitted to hospital.
