Leading political and business figures yesterday paid tribute to Grace Tien Chia-weng, mother of Liberal Party leader James Tien Pei-chun (left, with his wife Mary) and Kowloon-Canton Railway Corporation chairman Michael Tien Puk-sun (above). Grace Tien, the widow of Dr Francis Tien Yuan-hao, died on Sunday aged 90.
Chief Secretary Donald Tsang Yam-kuen and tycoon Li Ka-shing (top left) were among those present for the service at the Hong Kong Funeral Home, North Point, which was also attended by Chief Executive Tung Chee-hwa and Hong Kong Tourism Board chairwoman Selina Chow Liang Shuk-yee (far left).
Among others paying tribute were former chief secretary Anson Chan Fang On-sang, Pacific Century Cyberworks chairman Richard Li Tzar-kai and Citic Pacific chairman Larry Yung Chi-kin.
