Those who have a flair for Web design can show off their skills in this year's Learning2Give project.

Students from 24 schools will design a Web site from scratch, or upgrade an existing one for a designated charity organisation.

The project, in its third year, is organised by the Rotary Club of Hong Kong Island West. Participating schools include Baptist Lui Ming Choi Secondary School, Belilios Public School, Leung Shek Chee College, Pui Ching Middle School, Queen's College, West Island School, Diocesan Boys' School and Diocesan Girls' School.

Among the charities that have signed up for this exercise are Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups, Keswick Foundation, Orbis Hong Kong, Teen Aids and the Youth Service of St James Settlement.

Preference was given to students with little or no Web design experience. They are being trained by Macromedia, and will post their designs by the end of March. Young Post readers can vote for their three favourite sites.

The first 10 readers who vote for the winning design will receive a prize. Further details of the competition will be announced at ypost.scmp.com.
