Lai Kong-hung, 26, accused of abducting businessman So Cha-tong, 80, appeared in Kowloon City Court amid tight security. Lai, a Guangdong factory worker, faces one count of forcible taking or detention related to the kidnapping of Mr So outside his house in Yau Yat Chuen in Shekkipmei, Kowloon, on January 30. No plea was entered. Magistrate Ernest Lin Kam-hung adjourned the case to March 28.
