I am a reader of the South China Morning Post on the mainland. Recently, the local authorities in Shanghai issued an order that all television-receiving satellite dishes were to be removed. This would apply to all residents in the city who have these dishes. I appeal to officials to reconsider this decision. If my satellite dish is taken down I will lose access to a lot of channels. I will know little about what is happening in the outside world. I appeal to people to urge the Shanghai city council to rescind its order. NAME AND ADDRESS SUPPLIED
