School rocks on 30th anniversary
Students staged a spectacular variety show to celebrate Kit Sam Lam Bing Yim Secondary School's 30th anniversary.
Principal Li Mak Lai-ying opened the show with a speech thanking teachers and students for their hard work in putting on the show. She said it was an invaluable opportunity for students to showcase their talents.
The show started with a play by the drama club. The play told the story of a girl who helps her classmate overcome a negative attitude and problems at home.
After the drama came solo poetry recitals in Chinese and English by Form Three to Six students. The performers were the winners in the Interschool Speech Festival Competition this year.
Parents also took to the stage to sing The Princess Of A Fallen Empire from a famous Chinese opera. The performance received enthusiastic applause.
Musical performances included a piano duet, a violin ensemble, and pieces for Chinese stringed instruments and the gu zheng. Form Two and Four students impressed the audience with a light-hearted piano piece.
