Girl seriously ill after swallowing sleeping pills

A schoolgirl, 17, was seriously ill in Tseung Kwan O Hospital last night after swallowing four bottles of sleeping pills outside a Sai Kung school.

She phoned a friend at about 1pm saying she had taken the pills outside Sam Yuk Middle School in Clear Water Bay Road, where her friend was attending classes. The girl was semi-conscious when her friend found her.
