The downhill flyover at the end of Conduit Road is not wide enough for marking two standard lanes before the stop line of the traffic lights.
The accident described by your correspondent was an isolated case. The existing traffic arrangement is safe and the location is not an accident black spot. In fact, according to our record, there was only one accident last year. That accident did relate to traffic 'weaving'.
The existing traffic management solution is the best one available. However, we will continue to monitor traffic.
