Motorola is set to launch partnership programmes at its Beijing training centres for customers and suppliers in the Asia-Pacific.
The firm established its Motorola University in Beijing in 1993, followed by facilities in Tianjin and Hangzhou.
Initially, the centres aimed at training company employees but, with increasing competition, the company will shift focus to offer training and consulting services to Motorola partners.
Motorola University director Sandy Ogg said: 'We will use Motorola's global experiences as examples to share with partners to improve their performance and business results.'
The Motorola University will work with industry associations, government and non-government agencies, consultants and 21 institutions including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Fudan University and Nankai University. It plans to offer 160 tailor-made courses.
Courses normally last from five to 100 days and range from human resources and organisation management, knowledge-service management, re-engineering, quality and performance excellence and MBA courses.
