SEVEN hundred students from over 100 secondary schools spent three days at a fun-filled camp at the Wu Kai Sha Youth Village recently.
The camp was to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Community Youth Club (CYC) set up in 1978.
''We hope to promote civic awareness among our members through this camp,'' said Inspector of School, Mr Paul Chan Lai-cheung, who was in charge of the conservation leadership training camp.
''Also, the participants can share their experiences in community service,'' he added.
The camp was split into two: the conservation leadership training camp and the community service camp.
About 100 students joined the conservation camp which featured activities like tree-planting and field trips.
Environmental issues, pollution problems and conservation of natural habitats were also covered.
