My apartment in Pokfulam overlooks the Cyberport site and I can understand why few companies are willing to move in. While a few floors of the main building may be ready for occupation, the rest of Cyberport is a huge construction site. Hi-tech it may be but it needs intelligent people to make it a success. There are no amenities at present for those who will work there. A wonderful view of Lamma and Lantau means very little if the basic infrastructure does not exist. It looks from my balcony as if the real completion date is probably years away, so it is no wonder companies prefer established areas like Quarry Bay, to Telegraph Bay. NORMAN de BRACKINGHE Pokfulam
