A two-day English camp with a theme based on animals turned out to be a roaring success recently.

Sixth formers from SKH Tsang Shiu Tim Secondary School and students from an international school were recruited as helpers at the camp organised by the Education Department.

More than 100 pupils from Leung Kui Kau Lutheran Primary School (AM session) took part in the camp.

The young campers were divided into 14 groups, each led by two Form Six students - a leader and an assistant.

On the first day, several ice-breaking games helped campers to get along better and to shed their shyness.

The games were aimed at giving the students the opportunity to speak English in practical situations in a fun environment.

The most popular activity - 'Dragon, Dragon' - a variation of the traditional stone-paper-scissors game, was one of the most popular activities. The hall reverberated with the sound of 135 campers shouting 'Dragon, dragon, you are mine!' all at the same time.
