Nicholas Andrews

Managing director and co-head of equity capital markets for Asia-Pacific

Mr Andrews joined from Credit Suisse First Boston, where he was managing director and head of the equity capital markets group for non-Japan Asia. Previously, he was with BZW. He has significant experience in corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions and capital markets in London and Asia.

Stephen Briscoe

Mr Briscoe has worked in the insolvency area since 1973, including 11 years with the Official Receiver's Office in Britain. During his five years in Hong Kong, he has gained considerable experience in personal and corporate insolvency.

Elgene Lee

Mr Lee was previously general manager for east China of Mobile Media Holdings, which is wholly owned by Star East Holdings. He was also vice-president of sales and marketing, leisure business, for Star East Holdings.

Bill Sohn

Based in Hong Kong, Mr Sohn will mainly cover South Korea and Taiwan. In the past three years, he has worked for Merrill Lynch, where he was a member of the regional research and telecommunications teams and was responsible for the Korean telecoms sector.

Colliers Jardine (Hong Kong) has appointed Anton Eilers regional residential director of the residential leasing department at Colliers Jardine Agency. Based in Hong Kong, Mr Eilers will lead the firm's residential leasing teams in Asia-Pacific and head the residential leasing department in the SAR. He is responsible for overseeing the Hong Kong office's service delivery and day-to-day operations, covering residential leasing and lease management for multinational corporate clients, sole agency project marketing and business development. Mr Eilers joined the firm in 2000 as director, regional residential, corporate services.

David Simpson

Based in Singapore, Mr Simpson has taken over from Roger Dyer, who is on a three-month sabbatical and has been managing partner for more than three years. Mr Simpson joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer as a partner in 2000. He formerly was managing partner of the Singapore office of Allen Allen & Hemsley (now Allens Arthur Robinson). He specialises in mergers and acquisitions and equity capital markets.

Meanwhile, Ng Kay Ian, based in Hong Kong, and Timothy Wilkins, based in Tokyo, have been elected to partnership at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. Mr Ng, who joined the law firm in 1998, is a member of the corporate practice group. Mr Wilkins specialises in mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and private equity.

David Nishball

Senior vice-president, markets and sales, Asia-Pacific/Australasia

Equant

Based in Singapore, Mr Nishball will be responsible for the firm's operations in the region. He will also direct efforts to establish Equant as a data networking solutions provider of choice for multinational businesses. Previously, Mr Nishball was vice-president of Concert Asia-Pacific.

Victor Mok

Mr Mok, director and general manager (Hong Kong and South China) of Exel Hong Kong, was elected as the association's chairman for 2002-03. He is a leading member of the industry and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the organisation.
