Next time you pass through Chek Lap Kok airport make sure you are wearing your sunglasses.
Opaque sources informed us that the Airport Authority is having 7,000 windows replaced because they were the wrong colour tint.
However, an authority official insisted it was just 3,000 pieces of glass and was because of a 'production fault'.
The authority said there were 'signs of delamination' and the glass would be replaced by contractors Pilkington starting in July.
The project is expected to be completed by next year and the cost will be borne by the contractor.
In an August 2000 letter to the South China Morning Post, the authority said it was concerned about the visual distortion that appeared in glass panes due to uneven parts of the surface.
