Fined driver talked from roof

A nightclub foreman threatened to jump from the roof of Kwun Tong Court after his driving licence was suspended for four months and he was fined $4,000 for drink-driving. Wu Chi-hang, 20, was talked down from the roof by two police officers after a 30-minute standoff at about 2pm. Wu was convicted on March 19 and had applied for a review of his sentence, but was refused yesterday by Magistrate Kwok Wai-kin.
