Mr Li is a graduate of the China Tourism Management Institute, majoring in hotel management and has 18 years' experience in the hospitality industry. Prior to joining the Wharney, Mr Li was senior executive at Guangdong (International) Hotel Management from 1992-2002. From 1996-1998, he went for further studies in hospitality and tourism administration in Toronto, Canada.

Mr Lee has spent 25 years in the fire industry. He started his career in the fire department of JEC in 1974 and then worked for Arnhold & Co for a few years from 1979. He joined Chubb to set up the fire division in 1983, was subsequently promoted to director in Chubb Hong Kong and also took charge of the China business in 1999.
