We have just spent an exciting English Week in CUHKFAA Chan Chun Ha Secondary School.
There were many interesting activities and we all had a great time taking part in them.
The programme lasted for four days and enhanced students' interest in learning English. During lunch hours, students used the central broadcast system to play English songs throughout the school. We thanked the principal and teachers through the songs. Thanks to the DJs, we heard some beautiful music in English.
After school each day, there were amusing activities including riddles, tongue twisters, question-and-answer, puzzle games, fun with idioms and classic movies. The activities were interesting and practical and taught us things that cannot be learned from textbooks. On the final day, student and teachers came together for a 'Fun Party'. Activities included verse speaking and short plays. Some students even showed us how to perform yo-yo tricks. The English subject teachers performed a musical play called Sleepless Night. It was highly entertaining and got a lot of laughs.
The climax of the party was when all the teachers and students sang the song YMCA together with improvised staging.
The English Week ended on a high note.
