A China Airlines aircraft carrying 251 passengers to Hong Kong aborted preparations for takeoff from Taipei's international airport yesterday after passengers reported the smell of fuel.

No one was injured aboard Flight CI605 when the incident occurred on a runway at Chiang Kai-shek Airport at 10.15am. The passengers were put on a later flight.
