Project work gets an A-plus

St Mary's Canossian College was bubbling with excitement. The half-day event on May 10 was to celebrate the grand finale of the Learning Across Curriculum Programme.

The programme aimed to boost students' motivation in learning, stimulate critical thinking and prompt students to assume more responsibility for their own learning.

After months of hard work, research groups from Forms One to Three were ready to present their projects to the adjudicating team of teachers, parents and Form Six students.

Form One students stole the show with their fluent English and comprehensive answers to adjudicators' questions. They said that project-based learning had enabled them to explore beyond textbooks, and enhanced their communication skills and team spirit.

Adjudicators gave students lots of excellent advice on future project work.
